In the Classroom

For over 30 years, JHCA has served Christian families in the Jackson area. Operating as a micro school, we offer a high-quality student focused program that provides a foundation for our graduates to compete in a global society while understanding the need to have Jesus Christ as their center and equipped to follow God’s calling into any avocation. Our classrooms incorporate a multimedia format utilizing direct-teach classes, online video instruction, and independent learning which give the students multiple learning experiences. These experiences offer all learning styles an opportunity, as well as develop skills to learn in different formats.

Within the framework of a micro school, our customized curriculum utilizes a wide variety of Christian resources, and a daily schedule to meet the unique needs of each individual student based upon the family’s needs, desired outcomes, and goals. These goals can range from coming alongside homeschool parents to prepping student for elite colleges.

JHCA utilizes curriculums such as:

    • Abeka

    • Bob Jones

    • Math-U-See

    • Singapore Math

    • Apologia Science with Dr. Jay Wile

    • God’s Design

    • Institute for Excellence in Writing

    • Spelling Power

    • Progeny Press Literature

Over the years, JHCA has invited community volunteers to enrich our students’ lives through special classes and clinics such as speech classes, word working, sewing, knitting, cooking, auto mechanics, chess, and art. High school students have the opportunity to take classes at the Jackson Hole Bible College, and past students have taken independent study classes through HSLDA. HSLDA offers AP classes to qualified students wishing to receive college credits while in High School.
